Master Scheduler 1

The Master Scheduler will plan, coordinate and implement the master production schedule for our Ipswich location.  They will coordinate with the Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, and Operations teams to maximize throughput and on time delivery of projects while ensuring the shop is level loaded and work in process is kept to a minimum.  The Master Scheduler will supervise the Planning Department.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, distribute, and support plant production schedule
• Review available capacity and ensure products are scheduled as required to meet delivery dates
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and Operations to ensure materials are available and jobs are scheduled appropriately
• Adjust plan as needed to support changes
• Anticipate, identify, and communicate needs for additional resources 
• Monitor and communicate progress of production activities
• Initiate corrective actions and escalate potential delays as appropriate
• Supervision of the Planning Department

Successful candidates will posses the following qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent experience
• 5 years of Production Planning or related experience in an engineered product environment
• Extensive MRP experience, M3 is preferred
• APICS certification
• Organization, communication, and negotiation skills
• Prior supervisory experience
