Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team in Ipswich.

 

The CNC Programmer will write and develop customized computer-based programs for our manufacturing shop’s large machining centers to produce non-production runs of one or two pieces of customer specific designed products.

Our CNC programmer must be proficient in Solidworks and CamWorks software and be capable of programming 5-axis machining centers that include a Mazak Integrex 1060, Trevisan D600 and Mazak QT450-2.

 

Specific Responsibilities include:

 

· Read and interpret technical drawings for modeling and ultimately model and program.

· Perform manufacturability reviews for new jobs and provide feedback to manufacturing supervision and engineering to meet cost targets.

· Use SolidWorks and CamWorks software to model cutting paths, create set up sheets, and program machines accordingly, while considering the tools required to cut particular materials.

· Develop and/or aid in preparing standard times, adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality

· Supervise set-up and machining during program development and record data

· Verify accuracy of post-processor output to ensure proper cutting path and final positions

· Perform first piece inspection to ensure products meet print specifications

· Interface with machine operators, instruct them in operation of programs, assist with troubleshooting and corrective action development; assist operators on proper operations of machines and programs

· Collect and assess statistical data; implement changes needed to optimize manufacturing efficiency, and to improve cost and quality

· Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise

 

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

· Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Strong mathematical and computer skills

· Knowledge of

  • Tooling and manufacturing methods with concentration on safety and accuracy.
  • Solidworks and CamWorks
