Business Need / Purpose of Role:

Outside Sales Representative focused on Trillium Flow Technologies pump repair capabilities in the Houston-area markets, with a focus on securing repairs and full rebuilds for centrifugal pumps, building relationships with customers in the midstream, downstream, and petrochemical industries. Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and how the repair industry works compared to new OE sales is a must. Understanding of machine shop capabilities and machining a plus.

 

Objectives & Measurement

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve territory objectives for services and repairs.
  • Develops and manages sales forecast and quota for territory.
  • Develops robust relationships with new and existing customers in the midstream, downstream, and petrochemical markets to build sustainable business.
  • Develop & implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve region objectives for products and services.
  • accordingly.
  • Provides training, and performance evaluations to develop and manage sales plans.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers, customers and key strategic partners.
  • Through an effective Customer Relationship Management plan, meets with key clients, assisting sales team with maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing deals.
  • Provides market intelligence for product research and development
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Sales Director.

 

 

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business preferred
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience in centrifugal pump repair and service industry region with demonstrated track record in developing new customers.
  • Demonstrated Background in vertical turbine and centrifugal pump sales a must
  • Knowledge and experience in the midstream and downstream oil and gas and petrochemical markets preferred.
  • Understanding of the difference between service and repair industry sales compared to new equipment sales preferred.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suites, CRM Program (preferably Sales Force)
