Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer supports production operations by improving manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving efficiency. This role focuses on implementing engineering solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the McKeesport facility.
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for actuator production.
- Generate assembly aid documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality concerns.
- Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing.
- Maintain documentation for process changes, tooling, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
Certifications:
- No required certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in actuator, valve, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CAD software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality systems.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis.
-Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
This position is based in a manufacturing shop environment and requires frequent physical activity:
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods.
- Handling tools, equipment, and materials with hands and arms.
- Lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to moderate to high noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
Use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
Occasional overtime or shift work may be required depending on production needs.
Projected salart range: 70-85K
