About Us

We are a leading engineering‑to‑order manufacturer of industrial valves serving critical applications in energy, process, and industrial markets. Our team designs and builds highly engineered, custom valve solutions that support demanding customer requirements and international code compliance. We are growing and looking for an early‑career Project Engineer who is ready to learn, contribute, and advance.

Position Overview

The Project Engineer supports the design, configuration, documentation, and execution of engineered‑to‑order valve products. This role is ideal for a mechanically minded engineer with strong CAD fundamentals who wants hands‑on experience in product design, manufacturing support, and regulated industry standards.

You will work closely with senior engineers while building expertise in pressure‑containing equipment, industry codes (ASME, API, PED), and the full life cycle of custom valve orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support preparation and review of 3D models and 2D CAD drawings for the manufacture of valve components and assemblies.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of bills of material (BOMs), test procedures, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Review customer purchase orders and specifications for accuracy under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Enter and maintain technical product data within the ERP system.
  • Participate in defining product testing requirements and drafting test documentation.
  • Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) documenting product design updates.
  • Provide basic technical support to suppliers during fabrication and to internal teams during order processing.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate non‑conformance reports and assist with technical dispositions.
  • Develop foundational understanding of international pressure‑boundary codes (ASME B16.34, API standards, PED).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, documentation updates, and engineering workflow enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineered‑products environment.
  • SolidWorks proficiency (1+ year of modeling experience).
  • Exposure to manufacturing materials (ASTM, metals, machining fundamentals) – coursework or practical experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or hands‑on experience with pressure‑containing equipment, rotating equipment, or components such as pumps, piping, or valve assemblies.
  • Basic understanding of ASME, API, or other product standards (training will be provided).
  • Experience in a custom, low‑volume, engineering‑to‑order manufacturing environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to grow into a fully independent Project Engineer role.
  • A collaborative engineering team and exposure to complex, high‑impact industrial applications.

Anticipated salary range: $85 -100K
