The Project Manager reports to the Director of Project Management and is responsible for shaping Trillium's overall success and reputation with our Customers.  


 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Primary Customer point of contact. Proactive communication, Customer advocacy and clear communication of Customers'  expectations is vital
  • Understand how our products and services provide value to each Customer, and influence the cross functional group (peers and leaders) to meet these expectations. Ultimately create brand loyalty by ensuring the business stays focuses on providing value to our Customers
  • Build trust with internal and external project stakeholders by proactively planning execution for each project, clearly communicating expectations and desired outcomes, and achieving Customer and business goals during project execution
  • Maximize value to our Customers by understanding how our products and services provide value to the industry and application, influencing the cross-functional group (peers and leaders) to meet our Customer's expectations, and ultimately create brand loyalty by ensuring the business stays focused on delivering value to our Customers.
  • Interface directly with internal and external stakeholders to determine and communicate scope, schedule, budget and required activities for assigned project portfolio
  • Upon receipt of turnover package from Sales, review contract documentation  package and correspondence to confirm scope, schedule and budget are clearly defined and achievable.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to clearly define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that meet Customer expectations and business goals. This includes internal processing of project documentation in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Identify risks and opportunities throughout project life cycle. Devise contingency plans to ensure Trillium's core priorities - Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery - are met.
  • Proactively manage project activities required to ensure project is executed according to Customer expectations and business needs.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope. Clearly communicating and ensuring compliance to all changes to project plan.
  • Develops and delivers project plans, progress reports, communications plans and presentations 
  • Lead internal and external project meetings as required
  • Conduct project retrospective reviews. Identify lessons learned and best practices, then communicate opportunities to exploit or avoid these elements in future projects.

 

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical field (preferred), or a high school diploma with 5+ years of demonstrated performance working in power generation (nuclear a plus) or industrial product manufacturing
  • 3+ years' experience in Project Management, Contract Management, or other relevant Customer-facing roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communicating, organizational and computer skills. MS Office, including advanced Excel proficiency is critical
  • Project Management certification (PMP), or ability to gain credential within 12 months of hire is required
  • Clear ability to manage a large portfolio of projects, while maintaining performance at a high level.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan, track and execute multiple activities at once
  • Clear capability to professionally communicate and present technical information orally and in written format

 

Work Environment: 

  • Office environment, with occasional (quarterly) travel to Customer, vendor, or subcontractor facilities
  • International travel may be required
  • Work alone or in a team setting successfully
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required to support Customers during emergent, rush basis site activities
