We are seeking a part-time to full time proactive and customer-focused IT Intern to join our team in Ipswich. This internship offers hands-on experience in Tier 1 support and desktop troubleshooting, ideal for students or recent graduates pursuing a career in IT. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values initiative, accountability, and learning. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees across North America Valves locations. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. 

  • Assist with software installations, updates, and basic configurations. 

  • Support user account setup and password resets in Active Directory and Microsoft 365. 

  • Document support requests and resolutions using our internal ticketing system. 

  • Help maintain IT asset inventory and assist with hardware deployment and recovery. 

  • Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 support or specialized teams. 

  • Participate in onboarding/offboarding processes for employees. 

  • Contribute to IT documentation and internal knowledge base updates. 

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 

  • Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop hardware. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a culture of ownership and accountability. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). 

  • Exposure to Active Directory and Office 365 administration. 

  • Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP). 

  • Familiarity with ITIL principles or similar frameworks.

Projected pay range: $17-21 per hour
