Compensation

Base Salary: $115,000 – $135,000 CAD

Bonus Potential:  Up to 30% of base salary, paid annually based on results

Total Target Cash Compensation:  $149,500 – $175,500 CAD (Base + Bonus at Target)

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager – Canada is responsible for managing Trillium Flow Technologies' Channel Partner network across Canada for both WEMCO wastewater products and Floway Vertical Turbines. This role sets and drives achievement of sales goals, ensures every Channel Partner salesperson is properly trained on our products, and ensures that all problems encountered by our customers – Channel Partners, end users, contractors, consulting engineers, and factory personnel – are resolved quickly.

The ideal candidate is a technical sales professional with hands-on experience with centrifugal pumps, a manufacturer or manufacturer's representative background, and a genuine passion for becoming a trusted technical resource and extreme owner of customer relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Channel Partner network for WEMCO wastewater products and Floway Vertical Turbines throughout the assigned Canadian territory.
  • Set and ensure achievement of sales goals for each Channel Partner and for the overall territory.
  • Ensure every salesperson at each Channel Partner is properly trained on WEMCO and Floway products.
  • Ensure all problems encountered by our customers – Channel Partners, end users, contractors, consulting engineers, and factory personnel – are resolved quickly.
  • Act as a Problem Solver and Extreme Owner of Customer Relations, personally taking responsibility for issue resolution from start to finish.
  • Fulfill the roles of other functions as needed to solve customer problems – including Project Manager, Purchasing Agent, Shipping Clerk, Project Engineer, Product Engineer, and Applications Engineer – so Channel Partners can stay focused on the customer and on securing new orders.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with Channel Partners and deliver technical presentations to consulting engineers, contractors, and end users.
  • Develop into a technical resource for WEMCO and Floway products, including spending time at the Fresno, CA factory and collaborating with other Regional Sales Managers to build the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, market share, and profit growth objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and communicate market intelligence within the Canadian territory.
  • Assist consulting engineers and Channel Partners with project design, specification review, and budgetary quote preparation to help improve the Company's hit rate.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and accurate, on-time reports to sales leadership.
  • Represent Trillium Flow Technologies at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Quality teams to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and ISO 9001/14001 standards.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Technical degree (BS in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field).
  • Technical background with hands-on experience with centrifugal pumps.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with a pump manufacturer or a manufacturer's representative.
  • Must reside in a major Canadian city with direct access to a major international airport (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, or Calgary).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
  • Must maintain a home office.
  • Excellent oral and written persuasive communication and presentation skills.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with:
    • Vertical Turbine Pumps
    • Wastewater / Solids Handling Pumps
  • Proven track record of progressive accomplishment and growing a business/delivering results.
  • Skilled in use of PowerPoint and Excel software.
  • In-depth experience identifying potential new markets and clients.

Work Environment

This position is home-office based with regular travel throughout the assigned Canadian territory, including visits to Channel Partners, customer facilities, consulting engineers, and periodic visits to the Trillium Flow Technologies factory in Fresno, CA. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection, may be required when visiting manufacturing or industrial sites.
