Regional Sales Representative

Location: Western U.S. & Western Canada Region
FLSA Classification: Exempt / Salaried
California Compensation Range: $130,000 – $150,000 (plus bonus and allowances)
(Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual’s relevant work experience and educational requirements.)


Purpose

The Regional Sales Representative at Trillium Flow Technologies is responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans to drive revenue, market share, and profitability across the Western U.S. and Western Canada. This role focuses on identifying new markets, strengthening client relationships, and managing sales channels to support growth in the municipal sector. The position requires up to 50% travel within the assigned region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic sales leadership to achieve revenue, market share, and profit growth in alignment with the company’s sales plan.
  • Lead business development efforts in existing and emerging markets within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop and execute comprehensive business plans, including resource planning, budgeting, and market positioning.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to build client relationships, enhance brand awareness, and increase market presence.
  • Manage and grow channel partners, including representatives, distributors, and OEMs, to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
  • Utilize company tools to track bid opportunities and ensure thorough project coverage.
  • Support consulting engineers and sales channels with project design, specifications, and budgetary quotes.
  • Identify training needs for sales channels and coordinate with internal teams to deliver effective training.
  • Collaborate with the Municipal Sales Manager on special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Submit monthly reports with relevant market data to support strategic planning and policy deployment.
  • Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Provide competitor pricing insights to support Application Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted bookings and profitability targets.
  • Establish and meet annual sales quotas for assigned products and regions.
  • Prepare and present proposals and agreements in line with company policies.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Communicate new business opportunities clearly across departments.
  • Observe all safety and ISO 9001/14001 Requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in core served markets (e.g., municipal, industrial, or fluid handling industries).
  • Proven track record of business growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Concur preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new markets and clients.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility, personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
