Production Planning Manager

Production Planning Manager

Location: Fresno, CA
FLSA Classification: Exempt / Salaried
California Compensation Range: $120,000 – $150,000
(Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual’s relevant work experience and educational requirements.)

Purpose

The Production Planning Manager at Trillium Flow Technologies plays a critical role in leading the planning team to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for optimizing production planning processes, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to meet production targets and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production planning team, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and development.
• Set and monitor short- and long-term departmental KPIs, aligning priorities to achieve business goals.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve planning processes to ensure timely procurement of materials and availability of resources for daily production.
• Leverage data science and AI tools to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and enhance supply chain performance.
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve production-related issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in production planning and inventory management.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Observe all safety and ISO 9001/14001 Requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data science applications within planning or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
• Experience with AI-driven planning methods is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility, personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
