Purpose
The Application Engineer at Trillium Flow Technologies is a key technical role responsible for providing expert support and solutions to customers while promoting the company’s products and services. This position involves understanding customer requirements, conducting product demonstrations, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure optimal application of our fluid handling technologies, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges, providing tailored solutions using Trillium Flow Technologies’ products and services.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our fluid handling solutions.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop technical proposals, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product capabilities.
- Provide technical support during the sales process, addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with product selection.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to relay customer feedback, identify product enhancements, and contribute to the development of new solutions.
- Analyze application data and system requirements to recommend appropriate products and configurations for specific customer applications.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including application notes, product specifications, and installation guides.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in fluid handling technologies to effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits to promote Trillium Flow Technologies and build relationships within the industry.
- Observe all safety and ISO 9001/14001 Requirements.
- Responsible for adhering to the organization’s code of conduct, time and attendance and all other company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or a related field) or equivalent technical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or a related role within the manufacturing or fluid handling industry.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pump technologies, and related engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in technical software tools (e.g., CAD, simulation tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet customer requirements and support sales initiatives.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
FLSA Classification: Salaried/Exempt
California Compensation Range: $90,000 - $120,000 (Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual’s relevant work experience and educational requirements).
