Material Handler

Location: Fresno, CA
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly
California Compensation Range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
(Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual’s relevant work experience and skillset level.)


Purpose

The Material Handler at Trillium Flow Technologies performs a variety of material handling duties to support the Inventory Control department and ensure timely delivery of materials to internal departments. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Stock and maintain raw materials, work-in-process, manufactured, and purchased parts and assemblies based on dispatch reports, BOMs, pick lists, customer orders, and other documentation.
  • Transfer, transport, and stock materials to designated areas.
  • Accurately pull customer orders and Job Order Listings (JOLs), ensuring accuracy before moving materials to Machining, Assembly, or Shipping departments.
  • Monitor shortage reports and fulfill shortage orders as materials become available.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure material availability for on-time production.
  • Perform computer transactions including material receipts, cycle counts, stock adjustments, and inventory location updates.
  • Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventories as assigned.
  • Unload, uncrate, or unpack materials and transfer them to storage using lift trucks or by hand.
  • Count, visually inspect, and weigh materials as needed for delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Handle hazardous materials in accordance with defined procedures; certification required.
  • Observe all safety and ISO 9001/14001/45001 Requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of receiving procedures, inventory management, and material handling equipment preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility, personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
