Purpose

The Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership, oversight, and guidance to drive financial performance, planning, and decision-making for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute robust financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support business objectives, revenue growth, and profitability. Provide strong leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.Team Development &
  • Mentorship: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Cultivate a high-performance environment by promoting continuous learning, development, and career growth within the team to build a succession plan.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Managing Director, senior management, department heads, and external stakeholders, providing actionable financial insights that support strategic initiatives and drive business growth. Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, and other senior leadership on financial matters.
  • Advanced Financial Planning & Forecasting: Oversee financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Leverage AI-driven tools and technologies for advanced financial forecasting and scenario planning to drive more accurate, data-driven decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring & Insight: Analyze financial data, KPIs, and trends to provide strategic insights into the company’s performance. Identify risks and opportunities for improvement, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive to market conditions.
  • Cash Flow & Risk Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to optimize liquidity and maintain financial stability. Ensure effective risk management practices are in place to mitigate potential financial challenges. Evaluate asset investment opportunities to assess return on investment and other key financial metrics.
  • Compliance & Financial Integrity: Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Ai Integration in Financial Processes: Lead the integration of AI tools and advanced financial technologies to improve finance operating efficiency, financial forecasting accuracy, enhance data analysis, and streamline financial planning processes.
  • Audit & Financial Review Support: Support internal and external audits, financial reviews, and due diligence processes by providing accurate and timely financial information. Ensure the finance department maintains transparency and accountability in all financial reporting.
  • Employee Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees. Take responsibility for employee performance management and disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Continuous Improvement and Cross-Functional Communication: Partner with other functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and address quality-related issues. Foster a culture of open communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and ISO 9001/14001 requirements in all finance-related activities.
  • Other Responsibilities: Adhere to the company’s code of conduct, time and attendance policies, and other company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or CPA designation is preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with a proven track record of financial management and strategic planning
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Experience in IFRS reporting preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze complex financial data, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is preferred

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment will vary. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.

 

Annual Compensation Range: $160,000.00 - $195,000.00 (Based on experience)
