Facilities & Grounds Technician

Position Summary

The Facilities & Grounds Technician is responsible for supporting the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the facility and surrounding property. This role focuses primarily on grounds maintenance, facility upkeep, and general building support to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained industrial manufacturing environment.

In addition, this position assists with environmental health and safety initiatives, including hazardous waste handling and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, hands-on, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain facility grounds including landscaping, weed control, irrigation monitoring, and general outdoor upkeep
• Perform routine cleanup of parking lots, walkways, outdoor storage areas, and facility perimeters
• Perform general facility maintenance including painting, minor repairs, and light carpentry
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to support facility operations
• Assist with hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, and disposal activities
• Support OSHA, EPA, ISO, and company safety compliance initiatives
• Maintain facility cleanliness and housekeeping standards
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–4 years of facilities, grounds maintenance, landscaping, or industrial support experience preferred
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire
• Hazardous waste handling and/or HAZWOPER training preferred or ability to obtain certifications within 6 months of hire

FLSA Classification:      Non-Exempt

Compensation Range:  $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s years of relevant experience, overall qualifications, certifications, skills, and alignment with the responsibilities of the role. Trillium Flow Technologies also

considers internal equity and market conditions when making compensation decisions.
